3rd Florence Annual International Art Exhibition
The theme of this exhibition, “Generative Metamorphosis,” invites artists and audiences to explore the artistic intersection of Deleuze’s theory of generation and metamorphosis in the context of co-shaping post-human society. Poetics and philosophy liberate our ontologically committed imaginations about the generation and flux of all things, while cutting-edge digitization technologies and life science experiments enable the rhapsodies of the posthuman era. In his long poem Metamorphosis, the ancient Roman poet Ovid released the potential for morphological transformation between humans and animals and plants, stars and gods in a mythical allegory; In the context of contemporary art, posthuman deformation is a technologically generated flow of all things and a fragmented and dynamic structure of humanistic heritage. Mr. Chun Fan was invited to participate in the exhibition and was recognized by the Honorable Mention Award at this exhibition, demonstrating the creative depth and sustained energy of Hong Kong artists on the international stage. The award is not only a recognition of the artist’s personal creation, but also symbolizes an extension of the dialogue between Hong Kong art and the international community, supporting artists to move towards a wider field of exchange, so that more creations can be seen and responded to.
